I would hope you get a refund. On another note, you should go and download RedSn0w 9.10b1. Once downloaded go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/. You need to pick out your phone model and firmware i.e. iOS 5.0.1. It will take about 30 minutes to an hour for the firmware to download. Once it has downloaded go to RedSn0w and click on the thing that says “Jailbreak and Install Cydia.” Follow the directions from there. Hope this helps.

jailbreaking your idevice should be free and easy. you will need redsnow, greenpooison, or any other jailbreak software. when you correctly jailbreak your idevice, you will have everything exactly the same on your springboard, EXCEPT there will now also be Cydia app icon on your springboard on your last page of apps, at the end (as a new app store app would appear). once this is done, you now have CYDIA!!!
although your idevice will not automatically have ALL tweaks and themes etc that you see here, or any at all for that matter, you will need to search for, download, install and sometimes respring your springboard for every single tweak that you install. this gives you the option to PERSONALIZE your idevice, exactly the way you want it. now if you see a tweak that you dont have on your current repositories, just look online and you will find new Cydia repos and sources, thus giving you access to more tweaks and “hacks” as many so call them.

To get (I’m pretty sure all Cydia apps for free) use the Source cydia.xsellize.com to get most Cydia apps for free. Go to Cydia, then Manage, then you’ll see “Sources.” You should see a “+” sign. From there you need to type in the Source I just gave you and when you search IntelliScreenX click on the one that has not an Finder icon, but a X icon. Hope this helps.

Update it to 4.3.3, download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16, and download the 4.3.2 .ipsw file. turn off your iDevice, and load up Redsn0w. After that, choose the 4.3.2 .ipsw file, and let it load. Follow the on-screen instructions, and you can jailbreak your iDevice that way. Its all free and if you wish, I can give you the links. You should then have Cydia and you can customize your iDevice. No need to pay someone to have it jailbroken. Happy jailbreaking!
